Abstract:

One of the most important factors determining solar panels' effectiveness is their operating temperature. Limitations in energy usage and material needs are inherent to both passive and active cooling methods. This study explores radiative cooling as a new, eco-friendly way to make solar panels operate better. The atmospheric transparency window is used in radiative cooling to remove excess heat from solar panels into the cold air. By integrating spectrally selective radiative cooling materials into conventional photovoltaic systems, we want to reduce the operating temperature and increase the efficiency of solar energy conversion. Better and more sustainable solar energy solutions can be created with the help of this study's in-depth understanding of radiative cooling's processes and benefits. With the help of photonic structures, hybrid and polymeric materials, as well as selective emitters, we have demonstrated that we can achieve effective passive cooling with preserving high solar performance
