Tianjin, August 6, 2025 – The United Societies of Science (USS) and Connected Universal Experiences Labs (NUXLabs) have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) at Tianjin University of Technology to jointly develop and implement an academic exchange program focused on Latin America.
The signing ceremony marks a significant milestone in advancing international academic collaboration and promoting knowledge-sharing between institutions in Latin America and the global scientific community. The program will support joint research initiatives, scholar exchanges, and collaborative projects aimed at addressing pressing global challenges through science and innovation.
On behalf of NUXLabs, the MoU was signed by Mr. David Mei, Director of Foreign Affairs; and for USS, by Mr. Shaoxiong Wang, Secretary-General. Both parties reaffirmed their commitment to deepening institutional ties and leveraging their respective strengths to foster cross-border academic and scientific cooperation.
In his remarks, Mr. David Mei emphasized the value of cross-cultural academic dialogue: “This partnership reflects our shared vision of building more inclusive and interconnected platforms for scientific advancement. We look forward to working closely with USS to deliver tangible benefits to academic communities across Latin America and beyond.”
Mr. Shaoxiong Wang echoed this sentiment, adding: “Today’s agreement is more than a formal document — it is a bridge connecting minds, ideas, and innovations. Through this initiative, we aim to make meaningful contributions to the global scientific ecosystem.”
The academic exchange program is scheduled to launch in early 2026. Further details regarding participating institutions, thematic research areas, and application procedures will be announced in the coming months.
