Hanoi, October 11-14, 2026 — The 2026 ASIAN Conference on Communication and Networks (ASIANComNet 2026), jointly organized by the United Societies of Science (USS) and the Posts and Telecommunications Institute of Technology (PTIT) of Vietnam, was grandly held in Hanoi, Vietnam, from October 12 to 13. Under the theme "Connected World: Shaping the Future of Intelligent Connectivity – Innovate, Integrate, Inspire," the conference gathered researchers, university scholars, and industry experts from 31 countries around the world to engage in high-level academic exchange and cross-border research collaboration on frontier areas such as communication networks, artificial intelligence, the Internet of Things (IoT), and cybersecurity.
ASIANComNet 2026 is technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Communications Society, the IEEE Vietnam Section, and the IEEE Signal Processing Society Vietnam Chapter, with Samsung as a partner sponsor. The conference received a total of 475 submissions from 31 countries worldwide. Following rigorous peer review, 160 papers were accepted for presentation at the conference, representing an acceptance rate of 33.7%. All accepted papers that are presented and meet the required standards will be included in the IEEE Xplore database and made openly searchable to the global academic community.
USS and PTIT Forge Deep Collaboration, Building a Long-term International Academic Partnership
This conference represents a deep practice of transnational academic cooperation between USS and PTIT. As a non-profit cross-border research community, USS is dedicated to building an open and equal platform for international academic dialogue. PTIT, as a leading higher education institution in communications and information technology in Vietnam, possesses strong local research capabilities and talent reserves. The two parties worked closely together throughout the entire process—from early conference preparation, academic program development, and guest invitations to on-site execution—jointly ensuring the successful hosting of ASIANComNet 2026.
At the opening ceremony on the morning of October 12, Professor Từ Minh Phương, Vice President of PTIT, highly commended the collaboration with USS, stating that this joint conference is an important initiative for PTIT to promote research innovation, expand international cooperation, and facilitate the industrial translation of academic outcomes. He expressed expectations for continued exploration of collaborative potential with USS to support the exchange and growth of young researchers. Professor Prabagarane N, Co-General Chair of ASIANComNet 2026 and representative of USS, reviewed the history of cooperation between the two parties in his address. He stated that USS is committed to breaking down geographical barriers and promoting global sharing of research knowledge, and that bringing the conference to Hanoi in partnership with PTIT is a practical embodiment of USS's philosophy of openness, equality, and inclusiveness. He expressed gratitude to the PTIT organizing team, sponsors, speakers, and participating scholars, and expressed his hope that the conference will become a bridge connecting Vietnam and Southeast Asia to the global academic network, fostering more joint research directions and long-term scientific collaboration.

Top Experts from Multiple Countries Deliver Keynotes, Focusing on Frontier Technologies in Intelligent Connectivity
Following the opening ceremony, the conference commenced its keynote session, featuring authoritative experts from Italy, India, Thailand, and Vietnam sharing cutting-edge research findings.
Professor Giacomo Morabito from the University of Catania, Italy, introduced an AI agent interconnection architecture for distributed learning and inference. Dr. V. Nagarajan from Periyar University, India, shared applications of artificial intelligence in signal processing and data-driven intelligent decision-making. Dr. Chalee Vorakulpipat from NECTEC (National Electronics and Computer Technology Center), Thailand, discussed post-quantum cryptography, emerging cybersecurity challenges, and practical feasibility for real-world deployment. Dr. Lê Trung Thành from Phenikaa University, Vietnam, presented silicon photonic integrated circuit technology solutions for next-generation communication data networks. These presentations fully demonstrated the increasingly close technological convergence among artificial intelligence, photonics, cybersecurity, and next-generation communication infrastructure.
Rich Multi-track Academic Program, Hybrid Online-Offline Format
The conference featured parallel sessions, poster presentations, and specialized tutorials, adopting a hybrid format combining in-person main venues with partial online live streaming. On the afternoon of October 12, multiple sessions covered mobile computing, wireless communications, 5G/next-generation mobile communications, IoT, and artificial intelligence and machine learning. The poster session provided young scholars and students with a platform to present their research and receive peer feedback. The October 13 program continued to cover wireless technology, signal processing, machine vision, network privacy and security, new AI directions, and smart agriculture communication technology, along with a specialized tutorial on quantum internet fundamentals. Participants from around the world engaged in thorough technical discussions and explored potential research collaboration opportunities.
This fruitful collaboration with PTIT sets an excellent benchmark for cross-border academic cooperation. In the future, USS will uphold its philosophy of openness, equality, and inclusiveness, and continue to work closely with PTIT as well as other universities, research institutes, and industry partners across the Asia-Pacific and globally to host more high-level international academic conferences. This series of conferences will provide channels for researchers—especially young scholars—to exchange, collaborate, and grow, jointly advancing innovation and development in the fields of communications, networking, and intelligent technologies.
